For the LSU campus community, we offer EV driver registration to gain access to charging on campus. In 2011, two electric vehicle charging stations were donated to LSU by Entergy. This equipment was funded by Entergy shareholders through its Environmental Initiatives Fund, which was established to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through innovative and promising initiatives.
PlugInLSU.org is a project of the Greater Baton Rouge Clean Cities Coalition whose mission is to advance the nation’s economic, environmental, and energy security by supporting local actions to reduce petroleum consumption in transportation. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), GBRCCC supports public and private partnerships that help bring alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) to the greater Baton Rouge area.
